• Bar & Book Happy Hour: Customers can check out the new Bar & Book, Lone Star Park’s newly-renovated simulcast facility, while enjoying happy hour, Monday through Friday 4 – 7 p.m. Happy hour specials include $3 well drinks and $2 select domestic drafts. Admission and parking to Bar & Book is free.
• Poker at Bar & Book: Thursday nights at the Bar & Book come play in the World Poker Tour Amateur Poker League. Two sessions each Thursday, 7 and 9:30 p.m. and it’s free to play!Mutuel vouchers awarded weekly, monthly and annually.

• Quarter Horse Stakes Races: Tonight features two stakes races. The fifth race on the card is the third running of the $34,830 Red Cell Distance Challenge for 3-yr-olds & upward going 870 yards. And the scheduled eighth race is the third running of the $41,760 Merial Distaff Challenge for fillies and mares, 3-yr-olds & upward going 440 yards.

• Quarter Horse Stakes Races: Tonight features three exciting stakes races. First up will be the ninth running of the $47,285 Dash for Cash Juvenile Stakes for 2-yr-olds going 400 yards. It is the sixth race on the card. Next is the 15th running of the Grade 2 $174,000 Dash for Cash Derby for 3-yr-olds going 440 yards. It is the scheduled seventh race. And the scheduled eighth race is the 15th running of the Grade 1 $425,565 Dash for Cash Futurity for 2-yr-olds going a distance of 400 yards.

Lone Star Park at Grand Prairie, a Class I racetrack operated by Global Gaming Solutions LLC, offers a 26-day 2012 Fall Meeting of Champions for American Quarter Horses which opens Friday, September 14 and concludes on Saturday, November 10. Live racing will be held three days a week, Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 6:35 p.m.
